Arriving in Udaipur was wonderful. From all the tropical heat and vegetation we were suddenly a very stately city with beautiful Hindu and Muhgal architecture. I found myself sharpening my pencils and concentrating on the detail and symmetry of our guest house and it was a lovely drawing to be absorbed in before breakfast everyday.
On my birthday we took a paddle boat into the backwaters in Kerala for the day. The scenery was beautiful and it was a wonderful place to sit and draw the landscape - lots of little sketches over a couple of pages as we drifted along.

- Heritage Research; Quartermasters Journal
I am super excited to announce the release of issue_2 of Heritage Research’s "Quartermasters Journal"
The guys at HR kindly asked me to illustrate a few of the articles in this issue. A real treat for me as the subject matter was right up my street and was pretty much a dream commission.
